ABOUT SVNIT
Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology (SVNIT) was established in 1961 as one of the Regional Engineering Colleges for imparting technical education. In exercise of the powers conferred by section 3 of the University Grants Commission (UGC) Act, 1956, the Central Government on the advice of the University Grants Commission, has declared the Sardar Vallabhbhai Regional College of Engineering & Technology (SVREC), Surat to Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology (SVNIT), Surat with status of “Deemed University” with effect from 4th December 2002. The Institute has been granted the status of ‘Institute of National Importance’ w.e.f. 15th August, 2007. At present, the Institute is offering Six UG Programmes, Eighteen PG Programmes and Five Years Integrated M. Sc. (Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics) including doctoral programme in all above branches. The National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) of the Ministry of Education Government of India, has identified SVNIT as one of the best Institute of National importance of Government of India. The SVNIT has excelled tremendously in various research areas in Applied Sciences and Engineering disciplines during the last ten years, and received prestigious awards and grants from various Government bodies. The Institute has received huge grants for research under the prestigious schemes of DST, BRNS, CSIR, UGC-DAE, GUJCOST.
ABOUT CIVIL ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT
Civil Engineering Department came into existence in the year 1961. The Civil Engineering Department is one of the founding departments of the Institute. The department has grown tremendously over the years, especially after the conversion of the institute to an NIT, and is now one of the best Civil Engineering Departments among NITs in the country. The department has 44 qualified and dedicated faculty members with the specialization in various areas. The activities of the department are carried out under seven different sections namely Environmental Engineering, Urban Planning, Water Resources Engineering, Transportation Engineering and Planning, Construction Engineering & Management, Structural Engineering and Soil Mechanics & Foundation Engineering. The department is involved in various UG & seven PG programs and a research program leading to Ph.D. degree. Students of the department with their diversified culture/background are in the forefront of acquiring professional and technical knowledge. They conduct various technical and non-technical events under Civil Engineering Society. The students regularly receive many awards/fellowships from governmental and nongovernmental agencies. The department has been a pioneer and leader to carry out testing and challenging consultancy work in the different areas of Civil Engineering
ABOUT ICSBMC-2024
ICSBMC-2024 aims to pave the key role of Structural Engineering pathway toward the sustainable development and technology among different research areas of Civil Engineering. The conference will bring together Indian and International research communities working in Civil Engineering to explore novel methodologies for sustainable development and technologies. The main objective of this virtual conference is to provide an online platform to bring together leading academic, scientists, industrial researchers and research scholars to exchange the recent developments in Civil Engineering materials, Structural Engineering and related interdisciplinary research areas. This conference will cover three main themes including advance construction materials, durability of concrete structures, repair and rehabilitation of concrete structures and interdisciplinary research areas, emphasising their significant applications in sustainable Environment, seismic resistant and disaster mitigation and long durable concrete structures. The conference will also foster cooperation among organizations and researchers involved in the emerging fields and will provide in-depth technical presentations with abundant opportunities for individual discussions with the presenters. Keynote speakers will provide the recent advances in each theme. Invited speakers will highlight the progress and advances on each theme. These themes and in-depth discussions will offer to establish new collaborations. Further, this conference includes oral presentations of all areas of Civil Engineering and interdisciplinary areas. Selected Papers after peer Review will be Published in SCOPUS Indexed Springer Proceedings without any Publication Charges.

GUIDELINES FOR AUTHORS
The Abstract should be in doc / docx; Title should be in Times New Roman 14 pt & Bold; Affiliation should be in 10 pt; Abstract should be in 12 pt Bold; Text of Abstract should be in 12 pt. Only those abstracts which follow the mentioned format will be considered for evaluation by the Scientific Committee of the Conference. The Abstract should be submitted in: on or before 25th January 2021.
